According to the Department of City Planning’s Waterfront and Open Space Department, New York City’s waterfront is the longest of any single city in the US. In fact, if you were to combine the waterfronts of Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle and Portland, they wouldn’t total New York City’s. Here is the breakdown of the miles of waterfront by borough.
