Yum! Ultra fresh/ live seafood! You should choose your dinner from what is swimming around in the various tanks. Can’t get any fresher than that; from Canadian crab to dungeness crab, to jumbo live prawn with roe intact, razor clams, to live sea bass, and the list goes on. The other dishes we ordered were of exceptional quality and freshness. The dim-sum we ordered was high quality; not too many fillers but mainly whatever the main ingredient should’ve been. The mixed vegetables were clean and fresh.
I couldn’t give them the 5 stars since there was still that “rudeness” of plates being thrown down and clattered around like in regular Chinese restaurant that one has grown accustomed to as part of its cuisine culture.
This is the only Chinese restaurant in Chinatown that I have stumbled upon that is somewhat of a white table cloth restaurant with exceptional food. A bit more upscale, that the staff would pass around the hot towels from a silver tray; even the patrons were the wealthy merchant class mixed in with typical folks from uptown. Again, this will be higher check average than the usual $20/ person for obvious reasons. Two thumbs up!
